According to statistics from the Canadian Federal Government’s Canadian Housing
and Housing Corporation CMHC
the number of housing starts in Canada’s construction industry
fell by 2.5% in September from August
from 226,871 in August to
221,202 in September
However, housing starts in Canada are still higher than
the forecast of 214,500 homes by economic experts in September.
Robert Kavcic, senior economist at Bank of Montreal
one of Canada’s five largest commercial banks
believes that the interest of Canadians and new immigrants in Canadian real estate
estate and the need for housing for young local families
continue to support the needs of the Canadian real estate market.
The Canadian Housing and Housing Corporation’s CMHC figures show that
the Canadian real estate market’s housing sales in 2019
is significantly higher than in 2018
the second half of this year’s home sales figures
are better than the first half of 2019
and the improvement in home sales is Canadian nationwide.
