On December 5, the 34th International Volunteer Day,
Beijing 2022 Winter Olympics and Winter Paralympics
Volunteer Global Recruitment Launch Ceremony was held in Beijing.
At the start of the ceremony,
Cai Qi, the secretary of the Beijing Municipal Party Committee
and the chairman of the Beijing Winter Olympics Organizing Committee,
and the volunteer representatives jointly opened
a global volunteer recruitment network system for the tournament.
Volunteers from around the world are welcome to meet in 2022,
and jointly issued an invitation to the world.
Volunteer logos for the Beijing Winter Olympics and the Paralympic Games
were also officially released at the launch ceremony.
The logo graphic evolved from the
international universal gesture “I love you”.
The logo color is composed of red and yellow,
representing enthusiasm and welcome.
Through the elegant and dynamic streamer form,
it expresses the feeling of “heartbeat”
and reflects the vision of “pure ice and snow, passionate dating”.
At the launching ceremony,
Han Zirong, the full-time vice chairman
and secretary-general of the Beijing Winter Olympics Organizing Committee,
announced the recruitment announcement of volunteers for the event.
The Beijing Winter Olympics Organizing Committee plans
to recruit 27,000 Winter Olympic Games volunteers
and 12,000 Winter Paralympic Games volunteers.
Volunteers for the Winter Paralympic Games are mainly retained from the Winter Olympics.
Volunteers of the competition will serve the three competition areas
of Beijing, Yanqing and Zhangjiakou.
The service categories include 12 types including international liaison,
competition operation and venue operation.
