In the early morning of December 16,
the C6041 EMU train slowly departed from Chengdu East Station,
marking the official opening of the entire Chengdu-Guiyang high-speed railway line.
Chengdu and Guiyang, the two provincial capitals,
are as fast as 2 hours and 58 minutes.
The Chenggui high-speed train starts in Chengdu, Sichuan, passes through
云南昭通 贵州毕节等 终至贵阳市
Yibin, Zhaotong, Yunnan, Bijie, Guizhou, etc., and ends in Guiyang.
The total length of the line is 648 kilometers
and the designed speed is 250 kilometers per hour.
On the same day, the C6008 train from Guiyang North Station
to Chengdu South Station was also very lively.
A series of wonderful cultural activities such as Guizhou’s special snack tasting,
non-heritage craftsmen on-site creation of peasant paintings,
calligraphy and painting masters splashing ink and writing spring couplets, etc.
were organized and carried out in the carriage.
This time to witness the opening of
the Chengdu-Guizhou high-speed railway in person,
Wu Peng, vice chairman of the Guizhou Calligraphers Association, was filled with emotion.
It is reported that the Chengdu-Guizhou high-speed rail is of great significance for
smoothing the links between southwestern China and the southeast coastal areas,
accelerating tourism and mineral resource development along the route,
helping to overcome poverty and promoting
the implementation of the strategy of developing the western region.
