The police station in York, Ontario, said that
on Monday morning, many students were reported missing
The police suspected that some parents did not know that
the Ontario educators had cancelled the strike
strike and continued to leave their children at home
causing some students not to go to school

York District Police spokesman Andy Pattenden said
the school has enacted an agreement
called “Safe Arrival Plan”
which requires schools to contact their parents
