On the evening of December 19th,
a cultural evening party to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the return of Macau
Macau to the motherland was held at the Macau East Asian Games Stadium.
CPC Central Committee General Secretary, President,
and Chairman of the Central Military Commission Xi Jinping watched the performance.
At about 20 o’clock, cheerful music sounded.
Xi Jinping and his wife Peng Liyuan were accompanied by the Chief Executive
of the Macao Special Administrative Region Cui Shi’an and his wife Huo Huifen
and entered the party.
The audience stood and applauded,
and warmly welcomed Xi Jinping.
Drummers sang, and the lively and cheerful
Nanyue Lion Dance Show kicked off.
The classic melody such as
“Me and My Motherland” and
“Song of the Seven Children” set off a climax.
Kung Fu Poetry and Painting “Xiongjiang Feng”
presents the style of Nanquan,
an intangible cultural heritage,
琵琶 古萧 古琴轮番上阵
with martial arts, dance, and recitation. Pipa, Gu Xiao, and Guqin
take turns in battle, which is fascinating.
That evening, Cantonese opera “Flower Moon” debuted with affection,
and the rap art “Nanyin” popular in the Pearl River Delta region
was also brought to the party stage.
Macao’s flat-throat performance artist Pan Yuxia
used a song like a pearl as jade
to lead the audience closer Door traditional and beautiful art.
We have witnessed the rejuvenation of the nation,
the great change of the country, and witnessed
the successful practice of “one country, two systems” in Macau.
We are proud of being Chinese.
Dear Grandpa Xi,
I am one of the children who wrote to you at the Yingcai School
affiliated to Macao High School in Macau.
Today, my classmates and I are here to tell you that
we are all new generations of Macao born after the return of Macau to the motherland.
From the moment of birth,
I saw the five-star red flag flying high in front of my eyes.
At the end of the party,
Xi Jinping was accompanied by Cui Shi’an and the Chief Executive Officer
of the Macau Special Administrative Region He Yicheng,
and shook hands with the main cast members.
He sang “Singing for the Motherland” with the audience
and wished the great motherland prosperity and prosperity,
and wished Macau a better tomorrow.
The atmosphere of the party was pushed to a climax,
and singing and applause merged into a sea of joy.
Many on-site audiences expressed that
felt deeply moved after watching the full performance,
and also sent good wishes to Macau for tomorrow.
Such a grand event, with our chairman,
and residents of Macau, everyone came together to participate.
I think this is a time not only for Macau,
but for all celebrations,
(I) feel very happy.
