As Christmas approaches,
children who write to Santa Claus
will receive Santa’s replies one after another.
In addition to the staff who wrote the reply,
there were also some “Little Santa’s assistants”.
Granny Izzy McQueen
of Kamloops, British Columbia
is “Santa’s Little Helper”
and has been 34 years old.
The 87-year-old “little assistant”
said in an interview a few days ago that
writing back to the children created a Christmas atmosphere for me.
I really like it.
In fact, this is not an easy task.
Most of the time she will receive
as many as 3,500 letters in a Christmas season
and answer various questions from the children.
If it’s too busy,
the “Santa’s little helper”
” will find some of his own helpers.
McQueen said: “Someone calls and says,
‘Can I help?’ Some of them are teachers,
and they like to do it.”
According to the Canadian Post Office,
all children who want to receive a reply from Santa
must send their letter by December 12th,
as long as the recipient is:
Arctic, Santa Claus,
邮政编码Ho Ho Ho 加拿大
postal code Ho Ho Ho Canada.
That’s fine, and you don’t need to post stamps.
