The BC Supreme Court ruled on Thursday
October 10 that it was allegedly guilty
of murder at the first-degree murder of Oscar Afman
the defendant of the police officer in Abosfo, on November 6, 2017
However, he still may not be subject to criminal responsibility
The judge pointed out that the evidence submitted by the prosecutor
showed that Afman from Alberta was undoubtedly the gunman
who shot the 53-year-old police officer John Davidson
However, the defense made a request
to study the mental state of the defendant
and whether it should be held criminally responsible for the case.
The defendant’s lawyer stated that
Afman was insane on the day of the incident.
The judge finally ordered a second mental assessment of the defendant
to determine his mental state at the time of the incident.
